COAL TRADE SLACK
N.S.W. MINERS DISMISSED,
OVERSEAS DEMAND FALLING OFF.
(Received 14, 10.55 a.m.) Sydney, Nov. 14.
As a result of slackness in the coal trade nffiny miners have received notice of dismissal, For a long time past the demand, particularly from overseas, for Australian coal has been on the decrease. It is stated that the frequency of trouble on the coalfields and the absence of a guarantee of regular fulfilment of orders has induced many overseas customers to look elsewhere for supplies.
