N.Z. METHODS UP-TO-DATE.

COMPARISON WITH ENGLAND.

"I am satisfied that New Zealand is quite up-to-date with its road engineering,” stated Cr. T. Mason Chambers at to-day’s meeting of the Hawke’s Bay County Council.

“Our engineers seem to have • better knowledge of road-making. The way our Public Works engineers < carry out difficult works is a credit.
