Slß,—The Crew of the ship Rosalia, looking in your paper dated October the 27th, fell across a paragraph where the Crew of said ship, after pumping for three months in rough and smooth weather, and being almost used up, are criticized in comparison with shore laborers that are fresh and hearty. t The first laborers we got slackened their pace of pumping after 48 hours ; and we got the second lot on Saturday. One of these had to give it up to-day, and one came off in his place; and the other three are pretty well ready for the beach now. If that is any comparison, seafaring people do not call it so.
