Co.'s s.s. City of Adelaide.- Capt. Brown, arrived in the roadstead at 9.30 p.m. on Monday, after a rough passage of 53 hours. She steamed for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin at 5.30 next morning, and arrived at the former port at 6.30 a.m. on Wednesday.—The City of Adelaide is advertized to leave for Auckland, Kandavau, and San Francisco on Monday next. The s.s. Rangatira arrived from Poverty Bay at 1 a.m. on Tuesday, and left for Wellington aud Castle Point at 11.30 the same morning. The s.s. Fairy arrived from Wairoa and Turiroa at noon yesterday, with 52 piles aud six passengers. The brigantine Augusta, Captain W. Beudall, left Wangapoa on Sunday last, and experienced rough weather on the passage, arriving in the roadstead on Wednesday night. Cargo: 101,000 feet timber. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. AUCKLAND. 30th June. The Luna has sailed for Wellington. Passengers—The Hon. Mr O'Rorke, his Honor the Superintendent, Messrs Sheehan, Swanson, BucklanJ, May, M.H.R.'s, and Kenny, M.L.C. WELLINGTON. 30th June. The schooner Aspasia, with a cargo of stores, left to-day for Castle Point and Napier, after being wiucibound for several days. Ist July. The S.s. City of Adelaide arrived early this morning, from Napier. She left again at 2 p.m. for Lyttelton, aud ought to arrive there to-morrow morning, and reach Port Chalmers on Friday morning., She will leave Port Chalmers on her return voyage, carrying the outward San Francisco mail, on Friday afternoon, reaching Lyttelton on Saturday morning ; and, without delay, will sail for Wellington, where she should arrive early on Sunday. She will proceed to Napier without delay, arriving there on Monday) and will at once leave for Auckland, which should be reached on 'Wednesday, the Bth. She will, leave Auckland, for Kandavau, late on the Bth, with the San Francisco mails, and will be thus two days late. She is expected to connect at Kandavau with the Macgregor, which, it is believed, willproceed through to San Fraucisco. GREYMOUTH. 30th June. The Tararua arrived off Hckitika at 5 a.m. to-day, but, there being no steamer available, she was not tendered, and so she came on here, where she was tendered at 11 a.m., but the tender could not come on to port till 9 p.m. The Tararua left Hobson's Bay, at 10.30 a.m. on the 24th, and experienced strong head winds during the voyage. She brings 10 saloon aud 49 steerage passengers. 186 tons cargo, and 22 horses, for all ports.
PORT CHALMERS. 2nd July. The ship Dunedin was spoken by the tug Geeloug off the heads last evening. She is 80 clays out from Greenock, and 82 from the Scilly Islands. She brings 600 immigrants. Fourteen deaths occurred on' the passage. She passed on to Lyttelton with a fine S.W. breeze. MELBOURNE. 24th June. Wreck of a Mail Steamer. The Torres Straits mail, steamer Flintshire has been totally wrecked in Cleveland Bay, North Australia; all on board were saved. Madame Goddard and Blondin were passengers, and were in' an open boat all night; they lost all their effects, but reached shore in- safety. LONDON. 20th June. Terrible Shipwreck. The ship Kara has sunk in the sea of Marmora, drowning 320 persons.
