GOODALL'S QUININE WINE, Prepared with Howard's Quinine, f S an invaluable and agreeable Stomachic 1 to all suffering from General Debility, Indigestion, Nervousness, and Loss of Appetite. Recommended for its PURITY by tin Food Journal, the Anti-Adulteration Review, Arthur Hill Hassall, M.D., the Lancet, Wenkoorlh Lascelles Scott, Esq., F.G.S., F.A.S.L., F.R.S.S.A.,£c. Sold by Grocers, Chemists, &c, in large bottles at Is and 2s each. Prepared by GOODALL, BACKHOUSE, & Co., Leeds, England. GoodaWs Quinine Wine.—The combination of quinine with alcohol and the flavoring ingredients of wine, especially orange wine, is certainly as useful as it is pleasant and popular. The acid used to insure the solution of the quinine, in place of being mineral, asin.most of the mixtures prescribed by the faculty, is, vegetable, and hence is less liable to disagree with the stomach and give rise to painful tormina —a result rendered still less likely to occur in consequence of the presence of the alcohol and the 'aromatic oil of the bitter or Seville orange.. It,is, obvious,,however, that the efficacy of quinine wine will depend greatly upon the quality and quantity of the constituents of which it is composed, and especially of the quinine employed; but on this point Messrs Goodall expressly state that their wine is made with Howard's quinine. The samples of Goodall's quinine wine we hayo examined have been of excellent quality and remarkable for unprecedeiit- rf cheapness, which, in these days of de.-um iss h.'urJ scarcity, is certainly in itself a yn«.f and unusual recommendation.—Fhv.m tit* Lancet, May 17,1873,
