PAWS. 21th March. A motion has been introduced by the Left for the dissolution of the Assembly. 26th March. - The Assembly has postponed the municipal elections pending fresh legislation. 28th March. The Assembly has voted funds for the complete fortification of the city. A motion was brought forward by the Legitimist party in the Assembly to decide definitely, on the Ist of June, on the form of Government in France, but was rejected. The motion was opposed by the Left. BKRLIN. 25th March. The German Parliament has passed a new Press law. Bismarck is slowly recovering from an attack of gout. JIADBID. 30th March. A general attack was made by Marshal Serrano on the fcCarlists' position at Bilboa' the result was indecisive, after two days' fighting. VIENNA. 27th March. Thirty-two Austrian Bishops have denounced the ecclesiastical laws as being tyrannical. TURIN. 24th March. . The thirteenth anniversary of the accession of Victor Emanuel was most enthusiastically celebrated throughout the king-
dom.
