AUCKLAND.
Saturday, Dec. 7. A dwelling-house, the property of the Rev. Mr. Lally, and occupied by Capt. Armitage, was destroyed by fire to-day. Nothing was saved; the family escaped in their night-dresses. Wynyard house, in Official Bay, took fire to-day. The flames were soon extinguished, little damage resulting.
GREYTOWN.
Saturday, Dec. 7. Cundy's house was totally destroyed by fire last night. Everything destroyed. All the family were out milking at the time of the fire.
DUNEDIN.
Saturday, Dec. 7. The ship Palmerston has arrived from Hamburg. There was a large nnmber of deaths amongst the immigrants on the vovage. The Board of Health is now holding an enquiry. The passengers by the Palmerston and Christian M'Ansland, numbering 560, are quarantined in the Barracks, which are unfit for the reception of all.
