Hawke's Bay Times. Nullius addictus jurare in verba magistri. WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 1872.

The district Court sat this morning in bankruptcy. J. M. Boyd appeared for his final examination. Mr Laxcelles appeared on behalf of a number of the creditors. The bankrupt's accounts had "been very loosely kept, and he could not guarantee the accuracy of his statement of account. From Mr Lascelle's f xamination it appeared that the bankrupt, a single man, had contracted large liabilities to hotelkeepers and others, living at the rate of about <£BOQ or «£IOQQ per annum. He was also shown to have incurred liabilities immediately prior to his declaration of insolvency.—The Pistrict Judge said lie pould not act on, the statement of affairs before him, and on the application qf Mr Lee, on behalf of the bankrupt, the case was adjourned to the Ist Peeembcr.
