In the House of Repiesentatives last night, additional estimates were passed, including the following :—Mail Service to Fiji, JH,500 ; additions to Government Building*, £5.500; compensation to Mr Smythies, £I,OOO ; allowance to military settlers at Tauranga, £750. The Payments to Provinces Bill, the Kail way, Immigration, and Public Works Bill, the Native panels Duties, and (on the motion of Karaitiana Taka nioana) the Havvke's Bay Nathe Lands Alienation Commission Bill, were read a second time. On the motion of Mr M'Lean the Duties on Alienation of Native Lands Bill was discharged from the order paper. DUNE DIN. Thursday, Oct. 17. The Government are taking steps to have Otago represented at the Christohurch Exhibition. The Bluff whaif is to be extended 200 feet. The storage will be enlarged and two lines of railway laid along the whoje length of the wharf. CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday, Oct. 17. A reward of <£l3o, and a free pardon to any accomplice, is offered to anyone who will give such information as will lead to the conviction of the person or persons who scuttled the barge Mystery. The Lyttelton Times accuses Mi Bolleston of defeating, by unfair means, the passage of Mr Hall's bill foi simplifying Provincial institutions. This is indignantly denied by Mr Bolleston's friend*.
