The Daily Times, the Bruce Herald, the Tuapeka Times, the Oamaru Times, and the Mount Ida Chronicle all advocate a dissolution. The Daily Times says that if the new Cabinet get tolerated iu the House, it will be toleration bred of weariness. It further says that seats in the Cabinet were kept dangling In-fore the eyes of members until the Ministry were sate, and then disappointment awaited many who had expected seats. WELLINGTON. Tuesday, Oct. 15. A severe eaithquake was felt, here and at Blenheim last night at 10 o'clock. In the House of Bepresen tatives yesterday, sixteen bills were either dropped or discharged from the order paper, including the Lite Assurance Companies, Licensing, Interest, Juvenile Offenders, Local He venue, Allocation, Elections, Sea Fisheries, and Civil Service Act Amendment. Fourteen bills were read a thhd time, including the Quartz Crushing Machinery Inspection, Tramways, Hooper and Na ugh ton Registration, Auckland Mineral Leases, Deceased Wife's Sister, and Imprisonment for Debt Abolition. In the last the limitation to debts below £SO was jemoved. There was no discussion over anything. The Bills that passed were raced through the House. Messrs. Gillies, Sheehan, and Swanson protested against .«uqh conduct of the public business.
