[>EOM aBEVIItLE'S TELEGBAM COMPANY.] Friday, Sept. 20. The mail steamer Nebraska, from .• Auckland and Napier, arrived here at 8 o'clock this morning. She is now (10.30 a.m.) alongside the wharf, and will be open to the public this afternoon. She leaves far the South at 4 p.m. to-day. 2.30 p.m. A luncheon took place on board the Nebraska this afternoon, which was-. largely attended, members of both Houses of Parliament, all our leading citizens, and numerous ladies having; been present. Mr M'Lean proposed success and prosperity to the good ship Nebraska, her captain and Owners. Capt. Harding returned thanks on his own behalf, and Mr Driver on behalf of the owners. The aftair was a great. success. The Goiernment have decided that the Colony should be represented at the Exhibition to be held in Yienna next. June. Exhibits will be at the expense of the Colony. The principal exhibits at the Exhibition in Chris.tchurch. last December will be -. sent to Vienna. PARLIAMENTARY INTELLIGENCE. The Financial Statement is promised' for Tuesday next, and the Public Works Statement for Wednesday or Thursday. The Municipal Corporation Waterworks Bill, and the Interpretation Bill have been read a second time. The Otas;o Waste Lands Bill was. considered in committee last night.
