The Colonial Government p.s Luna ■will, it is anticipated, take her departure during to-night for Poverty Bay and Tauratiga. The export of grain of all kinds from the Colony during 1871 amounted in value toil6s,oQQ ;of flour to .£12,095 j bran and sharps, <£3,287; hutter, 4,342 J cwt., valued at .£12,426 ; cheese, 1,619 cwt., valued at .£4,023; potted meat, 58,660 owt. and 19 pokgs., valued at 4131,130; hides, 20.089 in number, value, 416,964; leather, 2,242 cwt., value* 410,205; tallow, 39,731 \ cwt, value, £67,208. A bon mot of his Honor Mr Justice Johnston, in the case Catton v. Hunt, heard yesterday, is worthy of being placed on record.
