Tiffen and Colenso being the principal opponents, —but it was afterwards wuh <drawn in committee. The Appioprhi tion Bill was read a second time, passed through committee, and its third reading made an order of the day for Monday (this day.) The Credit Act, the Meanee Toll-gate Act, the Police Act Amendment Act, and the Port Ahuiiri Bridge Bill were read a thhvi lime and passed. The Council then adjourned until 2 p.m. to-day.— The Council was prorogued at 4.30 p.m. to-day.
