PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5. The Council met to-day at 3 p ui. Council Chamber. The Speaker, in reference to his remarks on this subject yesterday, a4ced if the Council would allow the ball to be used for the advertised meeting.— No objection was raised. Supply. The Council went into Committee of Supply, and hiv HoxOR made his financial statement ; which showed the. revenue for the past year had exceeded the estimate, ami that there whs a balance of <£5,700 to the credit of the Province. [We intend to publish the statement in extenso to-morrow] Ways and Means, The Council went into Committee of Ways and Mean*, and his Honor ex plained the e-uimates of revenue, iieui by item. The Chairman then reported progres, and the Council adjourned to next sitting day.
