AUCKLAND UYE STOCK MARKET, (Reports to March 29.) [MESSES. HUNTER AMV NQLAN.] Cattle ; The supply of stock has been about the same as last week. The demand has heen steady, although purchasers looked for a reduped rate, more particularly for coarse breeds. great many dairy cowa offered at Newmarket, and for well-formed animals, at calving, good prices ruled ; we would quote really cows as being worth from #9 to #ll. 4. great many backward springers were placed at fully jate rates. Pry cows heavy of sale, without alteration in value ; nor is there any noteworthy change in grown steers or young stock. The fat beasts were of medium and inferior quality, but a good demand existed, and an advance of Is per lQOlba on the average was obtained. Sheep f Supply very limited, but prices did not materially advance, doubtless on account pf the relatively low rate of beef j but as stocks are not excessive, and, owing to the high prices of wool, holders are not anxious to sell, we anticipate a srm, if npt an advanced market. Lambs %ro very acarce, with pnsatisfted enquiry.
