Watt —Mr Wilson said that the District Judge had issued his certificate in this ca«e, but he would move that it be referred back for amendment. It was a most extraordinary document. —After a long discussion, his Honor ordered the certificate to be referred back, as it contained an incorrect recital of the law in the District Courts Act. Alderson and Sons v. Landon. —Mr Wilson, in this case, applied that until further pro peedjngs were taken, the Clerk of the District Court might be restrained by a rule nisi from handing back a sum of j£9o deposited wiih him by defendant. —Rule granted, after considerable dis cushion. Tareha and others v. Cashmore. —Mr Wilson applied for his costs in this case, the plaintiffs' solicitor having neglected to amend his declaration in prder to apply for an injunction.— Application granted. The Court sits figajn on Wednesday. The s.s. Keera, from this port and Poverty Ray, arrived at Tauranga at 5 o'clock this morning, and steamed for Auckland at 9 a>ni. The s.s. Napier, hence at 4 p.m. on arrived at Wellington at 5 o'clock this morning. We hear that the Rifle Volunteer plassfiring is appointed to commence on Friday morning next. A rifle, match took place a. few days a<*o between the Greymouth Rifles and Ho. 1 Company Wellington Rifles, in The scores' made were— Greymouth, 316; Wellington, 26Q.
