AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. (Repprts to Oct. 14.) [MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN.] Pattle : There was a good muster 1 of ail descriptions, all of which have been placed at satisfactory prices, with the exception of aged cows of inferior breed, which are unsaleable. —At the Junction, on Tuesday, there was a large muster of stock, a good attendance of buyers, and bidding was characterised by great spirit. —At the North Shore, on Wednesday, the quantity of stock was much in excess of what lias been the case at thi§ place for several sales, and the prices realised were highly satisfactory to vendors. Fat beasts are in demand, selling at from 30s to 32s 6d per 100 lbs ; dairy cows, from £H to £9 §s ; yearlings, £2 2s to £3 5s ; 1| year-olds, £3 12s 6d to £4-; 2-year old steers, from £4 12s 6d \ 3-year-old steers, £5 to £6 15s each. SI ep: There has been an increased supply, and prices have a decided upward tendency. Storep have commanded extreme rates, ewes and lambs selling at from 20s to 25s 9d the couple. ]fat sheep have not been penned in sufficient numbers for immediate wants, and have consequently realised high figures, and stocks being short, we anticipate continued iirmness. liest quality, shorn, from 14s 6d to 30s 5 in wool, from 20s to 29s 6d ; fat lambs, from 9s to lis 6d each. Some pens of store wethers, in good condition, sold at frorn 15s 3d to 21s 6d each.'
