' Hero, schooner, for Wairoa, aboui Monday next, 2nd October Midlothian, ketch, for Wairoa, on Tuesday j:ext, 3rd October r J?HE ketch Midlothian, Wilson, master, from Wairoa, arrived in port last night, bringing a quantity of maize. She is again on the berth : J'or Wairoa—to sail about Tuesday next, 3rd proximo. The s.B. Napier will sfears for Poverty Bay and Auckland at 10 o'clock to night. She will take the following passengers: —Miss Batham, Messrs. Lever, Parsons (2), Turton, Worgan, Holloway, and several others. The s.s- Eeera, from Auckland, arrived at Tauranga at 10.40 this forenoon. The s.s. Ahuriri is expected to leave Wellington for this port to-night. She is advertised to steam hence southwards about Friday next, 29th inst. The ketch Mary Ann Hudson left Wairoa at 11 a.hi. yesterday, for this port via Mohaka. The brigantine Flirt will probably complete the discharge of her inward cargo of timber and shingles to-night— an instance of quick despatch. She will then load for Auckland with potatoes, and will sail about Saturday next, 30th inst. We are informed that the Colonial Government steamer Luna may be looked for here in a few days, from Wellington. It is expected that she will proceed hence along the East Coast northwards.
