Monday, Sept. 25. The first pile of the Hutt bridge was driven on Saturday by the Governor. A capital lunch was afterwards given to which two hundred sat down. The Governor delivered his annual address to the New Zealand Institute on Saturday,
At the Hutt, on Saturday, a boy named, James Hall, ten years of age, had his brains kicked out by a pony. He is not dead, but there is no hope of his recovery. The Rev. Mr McWilliam and the Rev. Mr Knell were ordained priests of the English Church yesterday by the Bishop of Wellington.
