Luna, p.s., for Wellington, shortly after arrival The following is the report of the schooner jCrest of the Wave's passage from Dunedin to this port: —Left Dunedin at 2 p.m. on the 10th inst. (after being detained for three days at the Heads.) Had S., S.W., and N.W. winds throughout, and fine weather as far as Cape Palliser, on the morning of the 13th instant, when a heavy S.W. squall was encountered, with rain and hail. Eine weather from thence until arrival in the roadstead at noou yesterday ; entered the Iron Pot last evening, and wap berthed alongside the Custom-house Wharf. In attempting to enter the Iron Pot last evening, we regret to state, the brigantine Amherst took the ground when crossing the bar. All attempts to get her off have as yet provtd abortive, but it is fully anticipated jthat with this evening's flood tide she will be afloat again. We trust that it may be so. It is a fortunate circumstance that the sea in the Bay has not been rough durjng tha last day or two.
