HAWKE'S BAY TIMES. Nullius addictus jurare in verba magistri. THURSDAY, AUGUST 3, 1871.
A LARGE portion of our space this evening is occupied by the report of 1 he very interesting meeting by which the new Methodist Chapel was inaugurated on Tuesday evening last. It is always a matter of congratulation when a section pf '.he great Christian Church advances sufficiently in numbers to erect their own place of worship, and it is still more gratifying when, as in this instance, members of other denominations give the movement their hearty co operation and support. With the sentiments expressed by the principal speakers we heartily accord, and we congratulate the United Methodist fcody on the opening of their new and commodious place of worship.
