There was one case of drunkenness at the Resident Magistrate's Court this morning. "We would call attention to the tea meeting iu celebration of the opening of the Methodist Church, to be held to-morrow evening in the new building. The chair will be taken by J. Rhodes, Esq., and after tea several gentlemen will address the meeting, and a selection of music will be performed. We anticipate a very pleasant social gathering. Intending correspondents, especially those residing in the country, would do well to bear in mind that the outward mails for Europe, America, &c, via California, will be forwarded hence on Monday next, 7th August.
