Golden stone has been struck in tlie Central Italy mine, in the 250 feet shaft. It is believed to be a newleader. Business in the sharemarket to-day was active. Caledonian shares sold at £194, and closed at ,£190; Thames closed at £37 ; Tookey, £36 10s. Central Italy shares have been much run upon ; they opened at 355, and closed at 50s. Golden Calf, 425; Alburnia, £8; Otago, 80s.
