Haval Brigade.—At the meeting held last night, Mr H. Kraeft was elected first lieutenant, Mr W. Burtton second lieutenant, and Mr H. Ross gunner.
The Rifle Match we referred to last evening will be tired on the Queen's birthday. The twelve to represent the Napier Rifles will be chosen on Monday morning next, a preliminary firing for which purpose will take place on that day. The northern team will be selected from No. 6 Gouipany of the Auckland Rifles. Line Down.—Communication wilh all places south of Westporfc was this morning interrupted —the effect, no doubt, of the recent bad weather.
Rifle "Volunteer Drill-shed.—A portion of the timber for the above structure arrived by the schooner Meteor, from Mercury Bay, on Thursday last.
