Haval Brigade.—At the meeting held last night, Mr H. Kraeft was elected first lieutenant, Mr W. Burtton second lieutenant, and Mr H. Ross gunner.

Line Down.—Communication wilh all places south of Westporfc was this morning interrupted —the effect, no doubt, of the recent bad weather.

Rifle "Volunteer Drill-shed.—A portion of the timber for the above structure arrived by the schooner Meteor, from Mercury Bay, on Thursday last.
