Wednesday, May 3, A second fire"was discovered on board the ship Malay at 3 o'ckck .yesterday morning, and wat rtons who arrived, from Blenheim. The fire is supposed to have originated between a bale of flax and another of skins, in a part of the vessel where flax, wool, and grain were stored. The outsides of the bales of flax only were burned. The file destroyed and damaged thirty bales of wool, forty five bales of flax, and sixty sacks of grain, all insured. The vessel was uninjured. The cause of the fire is unknown, but the circumstances being suspicious, an inquiry is likely to be helcl. The cap tain is? absent at Wanganui.
