Tea Meeting.—lt will be seen by advertisement that a tea meeting will be held at Waipawa on the 2nd May to celebrate the opening of the .Rose of Sharon Tent, 1.0. R. District Court, Waipawa.— It is notified in the Gazette that the bi-mens-trial or two-monthly sessions of the Disirici Court of Hawke's P>ay at Waipawa will in future commence respectively on the first day of January, March, May, July, September, and November, in the present and each succeeding year, and will end respectively on the last day of February, April, June, August, October, and December, in the same; the first and last days of each session ehall be inclusive. Prom the following telegram, received by the General Government Agent last night, and published by our contemporary the Herald, it will be seen that the efforts to make Napier a port of call for the San Francisco mail steamers have not been unsuccessful : —" The postal contract, between Mr Webb and Halladay, differs only slightly from that published on the arrival of the last mail. Webb has consented that his vessels should call at Napier (weather permitting), both going and coining, the steam launch to meet them to be provided by you. The Nevada leaves San Francisco on the #tb of April. She is expected in Auckland on the 3rd of May. She will wait there two days on this occasion, and she should be at Napier about ihe 7th of May.
