ketch Glimpse, Croucher, master, left Wellington at noon on Sunday last, 9th inst., and rounded Cape Palliser at 4 p.m.; was becalmed for four lioura ; then got a breezo from the southward, which prevailed until arrival in port at 6 o'clock last evening, thus making a smart run of 30 hours from Wellington to tbi3 port. The 3.5. Lord Ashley, Capt. Andrews, left Auckland at 10 p.m. en Saturday, Bth inst., -with light winds and fine weather ; arrived at Tauranga at noon on Sunday, and kit agari at 3.30 p.m., with fine weather and light B.W. >vind ; pissed White Island at 10.15 p.m., and rounded the Jiast Capo at 5 a.m. yesJerday ; at noon, experienced strong S.W. gale, witli heavy rain ; at 6 p.m., the weather moder ated; arrived in the roadstead at 5.30 this morning.—She steamed southwards at 12.30 The s.s. Napier is announced to steam for Povevty Bay at 5 p.m. to-morrow. The schooner Meteor was advertised in the Auckland papers to leave that port lor the ssßt Coast, Poverty Bay, and JN T apier on Wednesday, 12th inst. The schooner Onward left the Manukau for Ibis'port on the 7th inst. with 40,000 feet limber.
