The Inquest on the body of the unfortunate man, Danield Welch, who lost his life at the late fire at Puketitiri was opened this morning at the Napier Hotel by the Coroner. The jury viewed the remains, but owing to the absence of Mr Israel Trask, the principal witness, the inquiry was adjourned. At a later hour in the day, Mr Trask arrived in town.
