Saturday, April 8. Whitiora has handed Greville's agent a copy of his letter to Colonel Lyon, which he says is the King's word for this year. The following is a translation : " Kaipine, March 31. « To Lyon. " Friend. This word is to you. All storekeeper's, laborers, graziers, farmers, and gentleman may remain in Waikato under Tawhiao's protection. All the Government must return to England. "That is all. (l Whitiora." Tapihanrt, now Kanaranapo, is five miles from here.
