" CIViS " to-morrow:. There is no deficiency of musical talent in the Napier community—a fact of which our local bands and Musical Society have afforded sufficient proof. The latter institution has not always been so well supported as its merits deserve, which is a matter of regret; for no pains or trouble are spared by its members to produce an entertainment worthy of general patronage, and to encourage the development of musical taste in the community. No doubt to the Society this is a labor of love, but some recompense is due to them by the public who are benefited. The next performance takes place to-morrow evening; the programme, which appears in another column, exhibits the usual good taste displayed by the Society in the selection of their pieces; and the charge for admission having been reduced to a uniform low rate, we trust they will be rewarded by a large attendance.
