Hawkes Bay Times. Nullius addictus jurare in verba magistri. SATURDAY, MARCH 11, 1871. PROVINCIAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS.

MOHAKA. The nomination for this district took place on the Btli inst., at noon, at the principal polling place. The Returning Officer (Mr S. Deighton) having read the writ, the following candidate was nominated :

Philtp Dolbel. Proposer, Mr D. Balfour; seconder, Mr Nathaniel Mercer.

No other candidate being proposed. Mr Dolbel was declared duly elected.
