Cattle : The supply of all descriptions has been limited, with steady demand for all-de-scriptions, with the exception of good cows at which show aa improvement. At Papakura, on Wednesday, a large number of jjtppk were penned, and although vendors were prepared to submit to ruling rates, sales were si|Beult to effect, but eventually a large number were placed. Pat cattle unequal to requirements, but holders were indisposed to jje}} at current rates. We quote beef, 22s to 6d per lOQibs. Dairy cows, at calving,
£8 10s to £lO 15s ; two-year-olds, from £4 to £4 15a; weaned calves from 25s to 40a. Sheep were penned in moderate quantities, and were well competed for, and advanced a shade ia price. Fat wethers sold from lis 3d to 15s 6d each. Lambs : Supply moderate, with fair demand j. some sold from 6s to 8s each.
Pigs—Scarce j medium weights in good request.
