The 8.3. Star of the South, Capt. F. Holmes, returned to port at 9 o'clock this morning, having left Auckland at 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday. That same night had to run to the Great Barrier for shelter from a strong N.E. wind and heavy head sea. Resumed her voyage at 8 a.m. on Thursday ; rounded the East Cape at 11 a.m. on Friday, and arrived at Tologa Bay at 5.30 ; landed two passengersMessrs. Buckland and Bradley—and left for Napier at 6 p.m., arriving here as above.— The Star will steam for Auckland via Tologa Bay at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning. The cutter GHimpse, Croucher, master, took her departure for Wellington via the coast this forenoon. The schooner Three Brothers will sail for Waimararna and Te Apiti to-morrow, with a quantity of station stores, &c, and will return to port with a cargo of wool. In the recapitulation of the Santiago's pargo, published in our last, the shipment of 30 bales of wool by Messrs. Stuart and Co. was stated to weigh 3,126 lbs, whereas the correct weight, we learn, is 10,466 lbs.
