The s.s. Rangatira, Captain Renner, left Napier at 3.45 p.m. on the 21at iust., and had light E. and N.E. wind with huzy weather on the passage, and armed at Wellington at 3.30 p.m. on the 22nd. Was detained in Wellington by bad weather until the 25th, leaving lor Napier at 8 a.m. on that day, against a fresh S.E. gale ; rounded Cape Palliser at noon, and met a very heavy N.E. swell, with little wind, but dense weather, which continued until morning, when the fog pleared off, and the swell slightly sub-ided. Arrived in the roadstead at 2.30 p.m. yesterday, and entered the Iron Pot this morning. —The Rangatira is announced to steam for Wellington at noon to morrow.
Tho s.s. Napier will steam for Poverty Bay at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
