CHRISTCHURCH.
Tuesday, Feb. 21. An inquest has been held on the woman named M'Leod who m as stabbed by her husband a. few days ago. The evidence went to show that jealousy on the pait of the husband was the cause of the deed. A verdict of "Wilful Murder'' was returned.
Major Kemp has been elected to represent the Western Maori District in the General Assembly.
