Resident Magistrate's Court. — No cases to-day. The District Court sits on Monday morning. The English Mail via San Francisco arrived la>t night per Lord As!)ley.

Our Auckland Letter is unavoidably held over until Monday. The Rangatira, from Wellington, may be looked for here to-morrow, having left that port at 12.55 p.m. to-day. We have to acknowledge the receipt from Messrs C. Platz & Son, Erfurt, Prussia, seedgrowers and nurserymen, of an illustrated catalogue of their collection of seeds. This enterpiising firm is desirous of extending their business to the Colonies, and we shall be glad to show the catalogue to any persons interested in such matters. Some of the varieties of flowers illustrated are very beautiful.
