AUCKLAND.
Tuesday, Feb. 14. The result of the polling for the Waikato district was declared to-day, as follows : Capt. McPherson, 183 ; Kirkwood, 82. It is rumored that Mr Webb repudiates the Neilson contract, and that the mail boats will have to run to Fiji. Sydney interests alleged as ground of repudiation. Neilson is said to have exceeded his powers in agreeing that the steamers should call at the Southern ports of New Zealand; but nothing is definitely known.
