Tuesday, Feb. 7. The b.s. Wonga Wonga arrived last night, and sailed at 2.30 to-day with sixty-five passengers. Mr and Mrs Chas, Mathews gave a splendid morning performance, which was crowded.
The Government steamer Lima sailed to day for Wellington. Mr M'Lean is expected to .arrive tonight from Alexandra. The Thames Advertiser of to day learns that the Hauhau prophet says that the natives who shot Todd ought to have cut out and taken away his heart as an offering to their god, which might have prevented other Europeans being murdered. Crewe, who returned the fire of ihe natives when chased out of Pirongia, has wounded one of them. The natives are keeping it very dark. The grain market is firm at former quotations. Flour, <£l3. Sales confirmed trade requirements. Inferior, £9 to £l2.
