AUCKLAND.
Saturday, Jan. 14. Advices from Waikato report that Tapihana has been summoned to attend the King's runanga at Te Kuiti. The natives have abandoned their position near Alexandra, and confidence is partially restored. The schooner Dancing Wave has arrived from Fiji. She brings the following intelligence : At Ba river a Solomon Islander murdered a man. The murderer was tied to a tree and flogged. Tn the absence of the keeper the man choked himself. Thakombau has declared war against the chiefs of Kewa. The petition for the recall of MiMarsh, the consul, has been forwarded. An American man-of-war was expected tor the protection of Fiji, and the establishment of courts.
