Wintry Weather has prevailed since our last—a bleat southerly wind with some rain. Journalistic—We observe that the Nelson Examiner is to be published as a daily morning journal on and after the 4th January, 1871. Money Orders. —On and atter the Ist January the charges for commission pn money orders to the United Kingdom will be at the old rates, The Star qf the South (weather permitting) will, we believe, be launched about noon to-morrow, with the assistance of the s.s. Lord Ashley. Napier Musical Society,—We need hardly remind our j eaders of the Napier Musical Society'« filth concert of the season, which takes place this evening. Jx is to be regretted that the weather \s so unfavorable. Pleasure Excursion.—By advertisement it will be seen that the s.s. Taranaki is announced to steam for Auckland on YfedmSjday next, 4th January, on an excursion trip, the fare \\\vre and back being £4,
