CLEARED OUTWARDS. DEOEMBEB. 15—Rangatira, s.s., 174 tons, Rouner, for Castle Point and Wellington, with original cargo for coast, and 90 bales wool, 2 boxes, 1 case, order.—Kinross and Co., agents. The ketoh Mary Ann Hudson, Sim, master, left Wairoa, at 3 o'clock this morning, with light westerly wind. At 4 a.m. it was blowing vory hard from the same quarter, and continued so until arrival here,at 10 a.m. to-day. She is again on the berth for Wairoa —to sail early next week. The s.s. Rangatira, Capfc. Renner, steamed for Wellington about 8 o'clock last evening, and may be expected to return to this port on or about Tuesday next, 20th December, when ifc is supposed that she will ausi t in the launching of the Star of the South, and in towiug that vessel to the Iron Pot. The schooner Hero is now laid up undergoing a (borough overhaul. The ketch Why Not, for Waimarama, was to h.uve saiicd last m>ht, but she did not get away until this af't.'rnoo i. It js stated that Mr Henson, of has now on the stocks approaching completion a steamer about 50 feet long, and calculated to carry about 30 tons. Her engines have been fitted up by Mr Murray and will be capable of being worked up to 17 horse-power. She is intended to ply on the VVanganui river and to act as a tug-boat.
