Telegraphic Intelligence.

DUNEDIN.

From Greville & Co.'s Telegram Company. (Reliter's Agents.)

Tuesday, Dec. 13. Mr. Vogel met the Chamber of Commerce yesterday. The following resolution was passed :—" Considering the amount of the subsidy to the Sari Francisco line, in the opinion of this meeting it is inexpedient to subsidise any steamer for the conveyance of mails be tween Melbourne and New Zealand, beyond the usual postal allowance. This Chamber is also of opinion, seeing thao the present Melbourno line is so largely Mipported by the public of this Colony, that it is their interest to se cure further support by affording additional postal facilities by running a line in direct communication with the Suez steamers."
