Resident Magistrate’s Court.— No cases this morning. Attempted Suicide— During last an old man named Wade, who ]aas been residing for some time past with Mr Farrar, attempted to commit filicide hy cutting his throat. He was found at daylight this iporning hy some pf the imputes of the house, in a very weak condition, having succeeded in Inflicting several deep gashes in his throat. Dr Hatchings, who was at npce sept for, vfas promptly in attendance, and sewed up the wounds. The plan, we hear, is progressing fayoiably. fop some tinie jiast he has hpen drink-.

From the portion relating to emigration, Ave learn that Dr. Feather ston authorised Messrs. Winge and Co., a firm of high standing in Christiania, to select ten young married couples, natives of Sweden, and with not more than two children to each couple.
