Weir, Heft Russell (Bay of Islands), on Monday, 14th* inst., and arrived in the roadstead at 1 o'clock jihis morning, having experienced ff. and N.W. breezes throughout. fche brings a cargo of Coal, consigned to Messrs. Watt Bros. The schooner Squcy Lass, Capt. M'Gregor, with a cargo of timber and shingles, arrived in port at 8 o'clock this morning, af'er a fast run of 49 hours from Mtvcury Bay, which place she left at 7 a.m. on Thursday. ' The gchoqner Hero, J. Campbell, master, left Napier at 1.30 a.m. on Thursday, 17th inst., and arrived at Arapawanui at 8 a m.; landed cargo, aud started for Wairoa, bur » strong souther coming on, had to run for Long Point, where she arrived at 6 a.m. on Friday; left, again at 7 a.m. on Sunday, and entered Wairoa at 1p m. the same day. Dis pbarged and took in cargo, and left at 6 am. yesterday, arriving at Mohaka at 1 p.m.-; |ook in cargo, and left for JN'apier at 7 p.m., arriving hera at midnight.—The ketch Mary Ann Hudson was in the Mohaka river wht'n the Hero left.
