Tuesday, Nov, 22. The Independent, to clay, states that Dr. Featherston comes out by the incoming Suez mail. It also contradicts the report of his appointment as Agent-General, and animadverts severely on its Wellington contemporaries for stating that Mr Vogel had received the same appointment. The Independent also reprints from the General Government Gazette, important letters on Immigration and Public Works from the Commissioners. The Wellington Diocesan Synod met to-day. There is no appearance of anything being done in the great Telegram case, neither the Government nor Operator at the Bluff haying yet heard anything of it r
