A very refreshing fall of rain has place since our last. Telegraphic messages may now be sent from any of the New Zealand Telegraph offices to any part of the world. Of course a portion of the route at present must be by the steamer to San Francisco, when the messages are taken up by the American line—and thence by the Atlantio Cable. The charge to Great Britain and France is for the first ten words, 44s ; and 4s 6d for each additional word,.
