Hawke's Bay Times. Nullius addictus jurare in verba magistri. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 1870.
In. the Auckland papers recently re ceived per s.s, Keera, we find a report of the address given by Mr Vogel before the electors of Auckland City East. Mr Vogel rightly observed that as a Colonial Minister, he was not only addressing the people of Auckland but those also who reside beyond the City and the Province. His speech thus becomes of Colonial importance, and it does in fact contain natter for discussion by the Colonial press. Our space, however, has been and is so fully occupied that at present we are unable to take up any ol the q-.iestions opened in \t. "We shaU therefore hold over their consideration, for a few days.
