Wednesday, Nov. 2. The telegraph between Wangauui and Taranaki is to be connected forthwith. Tamati Tuito held a meeting here last week. Two hundred natives were present. The result of the meeting wa< favorable. Tamati says fighting is at an end. The Provincial Council has adjourned for a fortnight, because the members refuse to do any business until the Superintendent takes his seat in the Council. Mr Yogel has been asked to stand for New Plymouth at the forthcoming general elections, but declined, as he has accepted the Auckland requisition. Mr Kelly, M.H.R., will hold a meeting of hid constituents on the 12th inst.
