WELLINGTON.
Wednesday, Oct. 26. The body of the mioing man Porteous (which was seen, in J-lie harbor funr week* ago by the seamen on board the Government steamer was found last night, tearfully disfigured. The body of a boy ten years old, named Tandy, was found by his father la>t night at eight o'clock. He is supposed to have fallen from the jetty and been drowned during die afternoon. Half the proceeds of Heller's enter" tainment tonight aie to be devoted to the relief of the sufferers by the file at Lyttelton. Three companies of militia last night gave up their arms previous to being called out under the new act. Three more are to do so to-day.
