WELLINGTON.
Tuesday, October 11, The Canterbury Press of yesterdayprints a letter from Mr Gisborne, denying that the telegram was 1 taken from the Press Association. He explains that his reason for giving ii to the Independent was to oblige an anxious public. The Press throws all the blame of the false charge on the Otago Daily Times. The public here wonder what the proprietor of the Daily Times means to do.
